Welcome to....
What is the most important number to a customer concerning an engine? It is obviously the horsepower rating. At Chaffin Racing Engines, we have a state of the art Prototype Small Engine dyno that we use to determine the horsepower of your motor, as well as crucial information such as clutch slip and power band.
Now we come to the second most important tool in our arsenal. The SuperFlow 110 Flow Bench. We use this to determine the air flow through the carb as well as the pick up flow. This lets us perfectly tune the carb in house so all you have to do at the track is make the minute adjustments and be perfect every time. Remember, these procedures we show here are all standard. We treat all engines the same.
Now we will take a look at engines at different stages of completion. Starting with a crank being checked for straightness on the lathe, then a brand new block being decked on the mill. (Having the top of the block straightened to mate perfectly with the head to ensure maximum compression and minimize leaks.) Then comes a block after being decked, and it has the EZ-Bore Line Bore tool on it. Once again, a tool to ensure perfection every time. Finally, when the engine is put together, the degree wheel is attached and the timing is set to wherever the customer wants it, or to where it is recommended for your class.

Finally, if there is something else you wish to see on this page, such as finished engines, cams, pistons, and other misc. tools, let us know and we will do our best to get it on here. If it is in our shop, you have every right to see it here. We have nothing to hide.
